2023 cohort

Sara Macias & David Ponce Hervacio

Cali, Colombia

From a very young age my parents taught me to love God and what He loves. I love serving in the church in a variety of capacities. When I was 18 years old, I began studying Theology, and I met my beloved husband there, a man who taught me to love people selflessly that are lost and suffer from addictions. We currently have a ministry that focuses on reintroducing these people into society and giving them a new opportunity for life. Being part of this Fellowship is a privilege and a great opportunity for the growth of the ministry to which I belong since I always desire to learn and apply new strategies to help the entire community that surrounds us.

David

One thing that characterizes me the most is my love of music and playing instruments. I live in the city of Cali, Colombia, but I am a native of Lima, Peru. I am proud of both cultures and the richness of their lands. I am married to a wonderful woman, a gift from God. Sundays are family days when my parents and three brothers all get together to eat with us. I am passionate about using my gifts and talents to provide the maximum service to others, to extend the Kingdom of God and show Christ’s love. I am excited to learn, discover new strategies, expand my vision for service, and help my community, acting with a purpose for my nation and the community in which God has placed me.
